Located in the village of Kambia in the picturesque region of Apokoronas, this detached villa is set on the edge of the village amidst ancient olive groves. Its double rooms are newly decorated, have private balconies and are en-suite. In addition, there are two self-catering studios, also en-suite with private balconies. Villa Chariklia is owned and managed by onsite English resident hosts Rita & Gerry Wood whose job is to make your stay enjoyable.

The villa has a jacuzzi in the garden which the guests are welcome to use and loungers to relax on, in the sun.

The villa is a short 5 minute drive from Almyrida with its delightful golden beach and a 2 minute drive away from tavernas, bars and shops in the popular village of Plaka.

This is excellent walking country with booklets available of local walks written by an English couple Anna & Bob Scott, who have lived on Crete for over 14 years.

All rooms have a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. The studios have 2 small electric hot plates for preparing light meals, a sink and a toaster. All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are all available free of charge. Wireless Internet connection is available. There is a no smoking policy in all rooms although guests are welcome to smoke on their private balconies or in the garden.

The White Mountains dominate western Crete, and the Apokoronas area is ideally placed for exploring some of the many gorges particularly Samaria and Imbros.

Chania airport is about 40 minutes drive from Kambia whilst Heraklion airport is about a 2 hour drive.
